Whew, I am glad to be done with this one :) I know it doesn't look like it would be very difficult, but it took me quite a few tries to get the three different shades of green. I know it would probably be easier to just buy different shades of each color, but I do think there are some benefits of mixing the colors yourself.
The customer saw the original Butterfly Spots and wanted the same phrase. She requested the shades of green for the background and blue and yellow for the butterfly. I guess the beauty of handmade artwork is that all pieces are unique :) As you can see, the butterfly placement and count is different than that on the Butterfly Spots canvas. The blue on the butterfly was also a challenge for me. I initially mixed a blue, painted it, went to bed...then this morning realized that I was not happy with the color. On my lunch break, I took the canvas home and painted over the original blue. This blue is more of a baby blue...I like it so much better than the first!!
I am enjoying this all so much! I am so grateful to those who have been ordering and I hope that God continues to bless me by this.
